Securing Wound Packing

Hi, my name is Penny Taylor. I'm a physical therapist here at the AHN Grove City Wound Center, and I'd like to share with you my tip for Wound to the Wise regarding securing your packing. So the way I secure my packing for tunnels is I get a strip of paper tape, and I make it as the size that I want, tear it, I twist it, making a little rope, and then I make a little knot, and I come over and I put it on the end of my packing, like so, and I use paper tape because it's inexpensive, it's easy to manipulate, and it's the, the adhesive is gentle on the skin. And I make my little ends here the length that I want, tack down, put my dressing on top. Thank you.
